The Mall of the Metaverse will be a popular shopping and leisure destination, according to Khalifa bin Braik, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Asset Management. “And surely a huge attraction for customers who crave digital experiences from their most loved brands,” he added.
The desire for digital experiences has grown in recent years, according to Fatima Zada, director of Omnichannel and Digital at Majid Al Futtaim Shopping Malls. According to Mall of the Metaverse:
“We work to leverage behavioral science and data to deliver customers what they want and desire. Our swift consumer observations, followed by an action plan and a series of testing stages, have now led to a fully-fledged project that is a step ahead of online shopping.”
The UAE has made a number of metaverse advancements in the interim. The new phase of the Dubai Metaverse Strategy was approved in November 2022 by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council as well as Chairman of Dubai’s Higher Committee of Future Technology Development and Digital Economy.
The goal of the strategy is to strengthen the digital economy and put policies in place that will make it easier to use the metaverse and emerging technologies. A huge metaverse community in Dubai is being created through the projects, which also aims to develop the abilities of brilliant Emiratis and attract investors and users.
The projects also include events aimed at turning Dubai into a hub for regional and international metaverse-related events and strategic projects including relationships with corporate sector participants.
With the trend of the metaverse increasing, a project such as Mall of the Metaverse was inevitable. If you enjoyed this article, make sure to visit Ohio train derailment was predicted in a 2022 Netflix movie, or can Boruto beat Kawaki in a 1v1 fight.
