With the Hogwarts Legacy Azkaban quest gamers can visit the terrifying wizard and witch prison in the game. We’ve covered all you need to know.
There aren’t many locations in the Wizarding World that are as terrible as Azkaban. The most dangerous witches and wizards retreat there after committing a crime since it is the home of the Dementors. While some prisoners are sent there by accident (sorry Hagrid), most of the people there are not someone you’d like to have over for dinner.
Players can truly go to Azkaban jail in Hogwarts Legacy. But only one unique quest line, which is exclusive to one House, can lead to this outcome.
It seems that belonging to a House involves more than just having a different common room. We only currently are aware of one House-specific quest route, which is the one that takes you to Azkaban. However, as Hogwarts Legacy begins to expand, we may expect to see more House-specific tasks spread out over the game.
Hogwarts Legacy Azkaban quest explained
You must be a member of Hufflepuff if you wish to see Azkaban. As a result, if you want to visit Azkaban, you must create a new character if you did not select Hufflepuff as your House during the Sorting Ceremony.
A side quest that lets Hufflepuff members visit the notorious prison will someday become available. You can start that side quest after assisting an elderly woman near the lake when you are around level 6. A message from an owl informing you that a painting in the Hufflepuff common room needs your help will be delivered once this mission is finished.
Visit the picture and introduce yourself; you’ll recognize a familiar face. You’ll embark on a mission after seeing the artwork that leads you outside the castle, where you’ll finally run into a person named Helen Thistlewood. You can witness some Dementors and even a Patronus charm being cast in Azkaban once she takes you there.
But that’s pretty much it for your trip to Azkaban and the Hogwarts Legacy Azkaban quest. The prison is not shown to you in great detail in the game, but possibly future DLC will let players see more of it.
