AI profile picture generating feature coming to WhatsApp!

WhatsApp, one of the world’s most popular instant messaging platforms with billions of users, is working on a new feature that allows users to use AI-generated images as profile pictures.

This exciting innovation was first discovered by WABetaInfo in the Android v2.24.11.17 beta and offers a very useful solution for protecting user privacy. Now, users who don’t want to share their personal photos can use AI-generated images that reflect their tastes as their profile pictures.

How WhatsApp’s new feature will it work?

The new feature will be presented to the user by clicking the pencil icon in the profile picture settings. The user can select the avatar style they want and have the AI model create a unique profile picture in seconds.

Which technology is used?

It is unknown exactly which AI model WhatsApp will use for this feature, but it will likely be the same model used in the Meta AI search bar. This model already allows creating images directly from the search bar. However, the new feature simplifies this process and allows users to set an image as their profile picture with a single click, without the need to search, create, and save the image.

What are the benefits?

Privacy: An ideal solution for those who don’t want to share their personal photos.
Personalization: Users can create unique profile pictures that reflect their tastes and personality.
Easy to Use: Profile pictures can be set with a single click without complicated steps.

When will it be available?

It is unclear when the new feature will be available to all users. It is necessary to wait until an official statement comes from WhatsApp.

WhatsApp’s AI profile picture creation feature has the potential to take privacy and personalization to the next level on the platform. We look forward to this innovation rolling out in the coming months.
